To meet the needs of today’s travelers Short’s has developed our own online booking solution Short’s
Travel Online (STO), becoming one of only four travel management companies to own online booking
tool. STO includes innovative features not found anywhere else in the marketplace, including
baggage fee comparisons and our proprietary low-fare search feature, FindIt, while still being simple
to navigate with most reservations taking only four clicks to complete!
Beyond booking technology, we have built and maintained a dynamic online travel portal that is the
central hub to our client’s travel programs. The travel portal houses travel profile data centrally, a
unique differentiator to Short’s providing our clients with increased consistency of travel data and
unmatched flexibility with third party solutions. The travel portal also offers a powerful reporting engine
that provides clients with instant access to ‘real-time’ travel data, and is customized to meet specific
reporting needs as well as individual travelers and travel arranger needs.
My vision for STO is to offer an online travel management tool that is simple but powerful. Its clever
design will drive cost savings through changes in behavior – not forced changes.
